In the highest scoring game in state championship history which included 62 first half points, Griffin pulled away from Carrollton in the second half for a 56-35 victory and the Bears first state title since 1978. Griffin QB Jaquez Parks accounted for 574 yards and 5 TD’s. Trey Willis caught 3 scoring passes and had a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
