EVP at 1:40
This weekend I go on a camping adventure to Itasca State Park. The temps in Minnesota were still really cold. We have been battling 25 to 30 below zero the last few weeks. I left on a Friday after work, and initially the driving conditions sounded bad. Earlier that afternoon we were in a Winter Storm Warning. The wind and snow caused whiteout conditions and many roads were closed. The route I planned to take had a bad pileup with over 30 vehicles involved. Later into the evening the snow had stopped and I decided to make the drive up north.
The ride up was uneventful, however, while I was editing the video, I heard a crazy voice come through my microphone. I was alone in the truck, and I did not have the radio on. I did not hear the voice while driving. I was using a wireless setup with a lapel microphone. I have heard the sound of my stomach growling through the mic before, that is not what's going on here. The first day at the park was spent fixing my truck. The diesel gelled up again. I did eventually get the situation resolved and made it to the State Park on the second day.
The Headwaters of the Mississippi River were beautiful. The clouds broke and the sun shined, it turned out to be the best day for the hike.
