I started my Doctor of Medicine at Western Sydney University in 2020. Three years later, in 2023, I started a new degree, pursuing a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Honours at UNSW. Why?? Medicine is an amazing, fulfilling career, and being a doctor is up there as one of the most rewarding jobs imaginable. But no matter how glamorous and prestigious a degree may be, it can never be worth forcing yourself through if your heart lies somewhere else.
