This is the all new Mazda CX-70. A great word to describe this car would be an alike CX-90 with no 3 row seating arrangement, with a strikingly similar exterior to the CX-90. It is also the first CX-70 generation from Mazda. This car premiered on Jan 30, 2024, 3 days before this review came out, and 1 year after the premiere of the Mazda CX-90.



Now, let’s talk about the power train for this car. It has the exact same specs of the CX90 from two similar trim models. They are the Inline-6 (with 6 cylinder engine) and the PHEV (with 4 cylinder hybrid). The Inline 6 puts out 340 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) model puts out 323 hp and 369 lb-ft. All of those specs as I said, are the same as in the same trim models for the CX-90. Both trim models come with AWD, with the PHEV delivering more hybrid efficiency.



Now, let’s talk briefly about the interior. There is a 10 inch touchscreen located in the middle, and an 8-10 inch display on the driver’s side. The infotainment has been changed for the CX90, and remains the same on the CX-70. You also get a variety of safety features such as lane departure assist, Pre-Collision Assist, etc.




Pricing of the CX-70 could start at an estimated $40,000-50,000 CAD ($20,000-40,000 USD). The CX-70 as I said, premiered on Jan 30, 2024, and estimated availability will be in Spring 2024.
