The Yangtze River Three Gorges Dam Special Highway in Yichang, Hubei Province is a highway built specifically to connect the Yangtze River Three Gorges Dam. It is an extension of the Hubei Province (Wuhan) Hanyi (Chang) Expressway. The design standard is a first-class highway (quasi-highway). It is known as the world's best tunnel and is known as the China Bridge and Tunnel Museum. It is one of the three highways entering the Yangtze River Three Gorges Dam area. It was completed and opened to traffic on October 1, 1996. It was opened to the public on August 14, 2014.
