I for one did not expect this kind of sound coming from SM’s newest group. Especially after watching ‘Siren’, I didn’t think they would be so soft and precious and funky with their title track! And the fact that they surprised me means that they already won my heart over by 50% nsnnsns But I genuinely enjoyed how they meshed old school sound that triggers nostalgia/melancholy with a pinch of new and modern which brings the freshness and these feelings together are so enjoyable. You can’t help yourself but bop along, snap your fingers or tap your foot, it’s so rhythmic that you get lost in it too. Another thing I loved here was seeing them actually having a nice time and smiling while dancing! That’s super endearing I find. Overall, that is such a surpassing and refreshing debut. I can tell I’ve already bitten the bait nsnsns not quite yet hooked since I would need more to invest myself fully and dive deeper into them but I can tell already that something is happening and that feels really exciting!
