Curitiba's historic center is flanked by green spaces such as Praça Tiradentes, with traces of the original city under glass, and Passeio Público, a park with a lake and a small zoo. The most frequented stores are on Rua XV de Novembro, known as Rua das Flores for its large vases of colorful flowers. The modernist Centro Cultural Teatro Guaíra promotes dance and music performances, and the clubs are very popular with young people.
