This is the first video in a series focusing on the biology and treatment of breast cancer.

Breast cancer - in fact almost all cancers - are inherently a problem of out-of-control cell replication. The cells in our bodies act like individuals in a population. Typically, they do a good job working in cooperation and harmony. But, sometimes, mutations can give rise to a lineage of cells that has a competitive advantage, leading to uncontrolled cell replication, and ultimately the growth of a tumor.

This video series explores the genetics, cell biology, evolution causes, treatment, and recurrence of breast cancer.
