Have you ever heard of the Sable Island sweat bee? Since they were only discovered 10 years ago, we wouldn’t be surprised if you hadn’t! The new species is endemic –meaning only found–on Sable Island off of Nova Scotia, and the Nuji Kelo’toqatijik Earth Keepers are helping protect them by collecting data, marking nests, and bringing Indigenous conservation practices & values to the current monitoring program.
