Dalam episode kelima ini akan membahas perjalanan militer Jepang. Mulai dari tragedi pembantaian Nanking (1937), perang dengan beruang raksasa yang sedang tidur (1938-1939), embargo Amerika, lahirnya blok poros (1941), hubungan Jepang dengan Hindia Belanda, pergerakan intelijen Jepang di Asia (1930-1940).

Dan kemudian ditutup dengan peristiwa serangan Jepang di Pearl Harbour markas Angkatan Laut Amerika (1941). Dari sinilah perang panjang di Asia Pasifik atau perang Pasifik dimulai (1941-1945). Dari semua rentetan peristiwa ini, lantas mengapa Jepang menyerang Soviet? Mengapa hubungan Amerika dan Jepang kian memburuk? Dan bagaimana kronik sejarah menjelang Perang Pasifik?
