Maple Syrup Evaporator - Part 2


Tapping a Maple tree is fun and easy. This video is how to boil down or evaporate maple sap down to Maple syrup. We use 5 gallon buckets collect the sap and then using a home made maple syurp evaporator that is wood fired, we heat the sap to 212F degrees. Once most of the water is gone from the Sap, we will boil it down further to finish the maple syurp. Our Evaporator is made from a 55 gallon drum, a converter kit and 2 Steam pans.
