This is an early NM Territorial settler's cabin (Straley). They settled in Ancho, a small town in Lincoln County, NM which later built a brick factory and a RR station was added. Ancho bricks became famous for their excellent quality In 1906 San Francisco used Ancho bricks entirely, for their reconstruction after the earthquake and fire. The brick factory has since closed, the RR station became an antique shop, the Straley cabin was deconstructed from it's site on their 73 section ranch, and reconstructed next to the old RR station.

The owners didn't want it so I bought this cabin for my husband for Christmas 2011. I made this film to show him, while the cabin is in transit, moving 38 miles from Ancho to Nogal via lo-boy truck.
