Join Kenny of All Trades as he escapes to a peaceful retreat, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life. No kayak or padel needed, just a serene setting and a truck camper for some rejuvenating dry camping experience.

This week I headed into the Foothills State Forest. I tried to make it into a spot that I have never camped at before. Unfortunately, the trails were not in good shape. So, I made my way on to tax forfeit land and found a quiet escape on a small lake. I finally got the new kayak in the water. I was really surprised at how well it handled. I will definitely be doing some fishing from it real soon. I don't think Toby will be able to come with, it is not that stable, but we will still make it work. All in all, it was a good weekend. Breakfast was good, supper was better, and the weather was awesome.
My buddy Larry called me today on my lunch break. He asked how the video turned out. I told him it all went fine. There were beautiful views, sketchy trails, good food and lots relaxing. I hope it don't make for a boring video. I know I have some new viewers joining. I hope they understand that my videos show how the weekend goes for Toby and me. It's not always riveting content, but it's always real life, and better then mowing the lawn on Saturday afternoon.
I talked to the shoulder surgeon this week. Unfortunately, she said the shoulder has severe arthritis and needs a total replacement. The bone fragment that is floating around has nothing to do with my arm locking up. It's because the shoulder socket looks like a gravel pit. You can see all the ridges that are locking the arm in place. So, for now we wait......
Thanks for following along on this weekend's adventure. Toby and I will see you next Tuesday.
