It is a #rarewood and less known wood for #luthier s such as #guitar makers: Persian desert #walnutwood. There are rocky mountains in Iran deserts those provide small micro climates for growing of walnut. Wood of such a walnut trees are unique!
They grow slowly so fine grain, and produce attractive #tonewood . Rich color of this rare tonewood is attractive, this type of walnut woods are usually warmer in color in comparison to mountain walnuts. Brown color of this walnut wood usually has black veins similar to rosewoods.
This walnut tonewood can be nicely flamed, in rare cases with intense curls like flamed or curly maples.
It can produce nice sound, between maple and rose wood in warmth, and its sound loudness can be as high as Indian rose wood.
We sort woods according to their density, those above 650 kg/m3 or 0.65 gr/cc yield good back and side, and bowl ribs for lute and oud. those with density above 700kg/m3 or 0.7gr/cc are really excellent tonewoods!
We produce guitar necks from those with density lower than 600kg/m3 or 0.6gr/cc, i.e. they must be lighter than Honduras Mahogany, our standards are restricted!
We split walnut wood for guitar neck to achieve the highest possible quality of instrument neck, such a guitar neck will be so stiff, stable and good resonance conductive.
