The world is not evil, it's just the incentives that are wrong.

If we had more wisdom and knowledge we could design a world that rewarded progress without destorying the planet.

The example I mentioned in the video about Joule Dollars, image that driving a car was as expensive as the energy used by the gasoline. People would automatically drive less, waste less fossil fuels, and try to innovate to reduced consumption or increase production.

Another example regards to education is for instance the radio opperators licence and theory for the drivers licence. Since people can take the test when they are ready, there is no need to just spend a lot of time working (6 months), just lear all you need and finish when you know everything. Instead of systems were you are trapped no matter if you are finished or not.
