Do you have hip flexor tightness? Always stretching your hip flexors without any improvement?

Tightness or shortness in your deep hip rotator muscles (gluteus) can actually cause tension in your hip flexors! Your gluteus sit at the back of your pelvis, and if they are tight, they can SHOVE the femoral head forward, or anteriorly, into the hip flexors. The hip flexors respond by tightening up, to combat the tension from the hip flexors. It's like a tug a war!
