Sonagiri is the name of a hill situated in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh, popularly known for ancient Jain temples. The Samavsharan of 8th Tirthankar Shri Chandraprabhu Bhagwan happened 17 times on the sacred land of Sonagiri hill. And from the time of Shri Chandraprabhu Bhagwan till the time of Shri Mahavir Bhagwan, five and half crores muniraj and sadhaks have attained moksha from here.
