Golakot is the name of a hill near the tehsil Khaniyadhana and district Shivpuri in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Gola in hindi language means round and thus the hill is named golakot due to its round shape. Golakot hill regained its importance as a revered Jain pilgrimage place. It is said that the Jain idols found there are over 3000 years old.
