My name is Mike Linn and I'm a stage 4 metastatic melanoma patient who makes cancer vlogs about my experience. I'm currently nearly 7 months into remission, which is great - but I'm finding myself stuck in a mode that makes me uncomfortable.

In this particular cancer patient story, I use a treadmill as a metaphor for something I don't like, but has a function relative to my lifestyle and needs (as both a runner and as the metaphor itself). While I wish I wasn't stuck here right now, I will eventually be able to hop off and keep on my journey running free... hopefully.

Regardless of how I frame it, remission and the entire experience of being a young adult cancer patient is weird. The mental health component of things is luckily my biggest challenge at the moment, and I feel fortunate for that, but I don't want to diminish what I'm going through or what others are either.
