Arizona State University extended a hearty welcome to thousands of gold-clad first-year students with music, dancing and fireworks. Students from ASU’s Polytechnic, West Valley, Downtown Phoenix and Tempe campuses yelled and waved glow sticks and giant foam hands in Mountain America Stadium during the high-energy pep rally. The crowd was treated to rousing student performances that showcased the diversity on campus.

President Michael M. Crow welcomed the students, encouraging them to ask for help if they need it.

After the fireworks display ended the Sun Devil Welcome, students of all years were treated to a concert by rap singer Flo Milli, who performed at the annual InfernoFest.
