We journey to Boone, NC to visit High Country Timberframe & Gallery Woodworking Co and pick up a Super Surfacer which I purchased from them. This tool is basically an automatic Japanese hand plane. It uses a belt to shoot the board through the machine and against a single very sharp blade to take a single plane shaving. This is very useful for finishing softwoods which look beautiful with a hand plane finish.

This particular machine was imported into USA for use on the Ellison residence, and saw little use after that. I'm lucky to be a part of this machine's history and can't wait to put it to work!
