I remember these actual cars and the dinky toy from my childhood. The 50's design of cars in the UK was epitomised in the Austin A40 Somerset - cool, stylish and non-aggressive. At this time the British car industry was flourishing - if fact it was the world's second biggest motor manufacturer - the USA being the first - Happy days !!
