This is a busy time of year for gardeners. In early February, we did some winter seed sowing. This method allows you to plant seeds early so that the seeds grow without much help from us and sooner than they would otherwise. As a bonus, you get to check those seeds off of your list during the craziness that is spring planting! Not all seeds are right for winter sowing. In this video, we started several cut flowers, herbs, and lettuce. The peppers were started in a tray with a heat mat.

I also planted some Casablanca Lilies in the moon garden and did the beginning steps of cut flower bed prep work -- they still have a lot more that needs to be done! Off camera, Brad cleaned up the catepillar tunnel and it is ready for planting! He also started digging the hole for the pond in the moon garden. More on that to come.

I hope you enjoy this video and are able to do some winter seed starting of your own!
