As a stage 4 cancer patient who has survived two advanced diagnoses and gone into remission twice, I have a lot of personal milestones and important dates relating to cancer on my calendar.

Theoretically, none would have been as important as 04/24/24. This was supposed to be my 5 year remission mark from my first diagnosis.

Unfortunately, life (and being a cancer patient) doesn't always go according to plan. I had a stage 4 recurrence last year, and now, while I'm in remission again, the clock has reset on this hypothetically important metric.

In this stage 4 cancer vlog, I'll talk about what 5 years truly means, what it means to me, and what lessons I can learn from this bittersweet day.
