This mix is like a subway ride back in time, to a period from about 1985-1988 when crews boasted about their Boroughs leading to the "Bridge Wars" where the Juice Crew (reppin Queens, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl/WBLS) and Boogie Down Productions (reppin Bronx, Kool DJ Red Alert/KISS) locked horns. It went further than New York, as crews from Brooklyn, Uptown , Manhattan Staten, New Jersey, Philly, Toronto, LA, London and beyond jumped in! What a period for hip hop!! I couldn't mix in every single song from this time though...
