Welcome to my channel...

We lost our precious Daniel, age 26, on January 12, 2024. I am now in the "after" part. I'm uploading this on March 25, 2024. The days between now and then, have been really awful. Somehow though, I believe Daniel is reminding me to feel the light. To seek purpose. To share that with others. I'm also connecting with so many other parents, siblings, friends family members etc who have gone through this traumatic loss. There is so much comfort in that.

I am still trying to figure out where to go with my channel, and for now, II will just be spontaneous about it. One moment at a time. It's a good creative outlet that way.

Adapting. Thriving. Changing. Growing. Facing the unknown every waking day. This is my story, and I hope that you find encouragement, community, friendship here. A journey of life with a child who was born with severe disabilities, and how we are making our way through the ups and downs. And now, how we are coping with living without him.

Daniel was born with a rare condition called Polymicrogyria. It was caused by the virus, CMV (cytomegalovirus). Daniel has extensive medical problems and disabilities, but we have created a loving support structure for him, and the 5 of us, and our pets, find lots of joy and love. A very unique family dynamic for sure!
