Yatra ਯਾਤਰਾ (def. Journey) is a series that is close to my heart. It features a series of interviews with my brother, Harbans, and my mother, Joginder, about their journey from Punjab to Singapore in 1959. This is part 4 of a 7 part series.

In this episode, both Harbans and Joginder recount their voyage from Kolkata to Singapore onboard a ship. Being from Punjab, which is landlocked, they had never seen the ocean before. Seasickness and sardines plague the two of them.
