On any given day there is usually a small school of redfin hanging about below the Elmore weir, but they are mostly on the smaller size. In this session I managed to land a couple of keeper size reddies, including a 35cm model! All fish were released though, I wasn't keeping a feed that day.

Redfin is just the name us Australians give English Perch, which were introduced to Australia in the 1860s for angling purposes. As of the time that this video was recorded, it is NOT illegal in the state of Victoria to return a Redfin back to the waterway in which it was caught.
