Something a lot of tourists overlook when they visit Paris, the St martin Canal is a must do in my opinion, as it is one of the best examples of 19th century canals and its intricate system of locks. It's a great way to spend the morning, then ending up at the Hotel Du Nord for a pleasant spot of lunch and a couple of glasses of wine. Quite nice during summer in the shade of the many trees that line the canal, via a ride on a canal boat or for a nice relaxing walk.
