#swytm #8x6workshop
Hand painting my 8x6 Workshop logo on a black T-Shirt without high tech equipment. I do not own a vinyl cutter so I make a mask by hand using a print out on readily available acrylic sheets for an Inkjet printer.
A steady hand is needed but with patience an excellent mask can be cut using a scalpel bladed knife. masking tape is used to hold the floating segments in place until the mask is attached to the shirt using a water soluble glue stick.
In this video I use Titanium White Heavy body artists acrylic paint which gives a good opaque finish with just two coats and is fully dry in just a couple of hours. Once the mask is removed any glue stick residue can be removed with a little warm soapy water and the job's a good'un.
If you have ever tried to remove acrylic paint from clothing you will know it's near enough impossible so I expect this T-Shirt to hold up well for many washes.
