Instead of a traditional home opener, the Blue Jackets will celebrate the lives of Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau.

The Panthers will wear No. 13 on their warmup jerseys as well as wear the special tribute decals on their helmets.

Bennett and Gaudreau were teammates with the Calgary Flames.

Florida is coming off a 4-3 win in Boston after getting a pair of goals from Sam Reinhart — who was playing in his 700th NHL game — and Anton Lundell; Sergei Bobrovsky made 24 saves in the win.

The Panthers wrap up their first road trip of the new season Tuesday in Columbus.

Spencer Knight will be in net for the Panthers; Elvis Merzlikins goes for the Jackets.
