JAS MERAH : Kunjungan Antonin Novotny di Indonesia

Semenjak tahun 1948, Indonesia telah mendirikan Kantor Perwakilan tidak resmi di Praha. Hubungan kedua negara semakin dekat ketika pada tanggal 2 Februari 1950.

Cekoslowakia mengakui Republik Indonesia Serikat sebagai negara berdaulat atas dasar Konferensi Meja Bundar yang diadakan di Den Haag. Langkah selanjutnya, pada tanggal 7 Maret 1950, di Jakarta dibuka Konsul Jenderal Cekoslowakia.

Kedekatan kedua negara semakin terasa ketika Bung Karno mengadakan kunjungan resmi untuk pertama kalinya ke Cekoslowakia pada 22 September 1956 atas undangan Presiden Antonin Zapotocky.
