CBS just posted an article about how Brett Yormark is changing the Big 12 into a marketing juggernaut. While the Pac 12 is being torn apart, the Big 12 is taking no prisoners. Brett has shown the future of the Big 12 at the Basketball Tournament this week. He created a 'Speakeasy" for rich people, hired DJs including Shaquille O'Neal, and turned the tournament into the most happening place on earth. Brett stated that he is making the Big 12 Hipper, Younger, and Sexier! This marketing campaign is very similar to the way Prime is building CU. Bringing DJs into the recruiting lunches, and flying in recruits for extravagant weekends is making Prime a household name with recruits. All that said, it will be the AD Rick George that pulls these strings for CU. Will he see the light at the end of the tunnel and convince the CU Regents to swing to the Big Sexy?
