Apple Cake recipe
Ingredients:
2 apples (peeled and chopped into small cubes)
1/2 apple (sliced thin, for decorating the top)
1 stick butter (113 grams or 1/2 cup) room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 small eggs (or 2 large)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
pinch of grated nutmeg

Method:
Using a hand mixer, whip the softened butter for a few minutes. add sugar and mix for another minute. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract and whip some more. Add all the dry ingredients and quickly combine with wet ingredients. Mix in the apple chunks. Pour into a greased pan and decorate with thin apple slices. Bake at 350 F for approximately 45 minutes. Let it cool and sift powdered sugar on top before enjoying.
