손 닿을 듯 가깝고 생생한 음악을 선물하는 '도심 속 미니 페스티벌' [I'm Live]. 무대 위 모든 뮤지션들을 조명하고, 초대받은 특별한 관객들과 함께하는 [I’m Live]의 310회 주인공은 싱어송라이터 홍이삭, 그리고 재즈 피아니스트 진수영이다.

홍이삭은 2013년 유재하 음악 경연대회에서 ‘봄아’를 통해 대중들에게 이름을 알리기 시작하며, 감미롭고 섬세한 보컬 실력뿐 아니라 지금까지 발매했던 곡들을 직접 작곡·작사해 오며 실력 있는 싱어송라이터로서의 모습을 인정받아 온 뮤지션이다. 2023년 4월, 영어 앨범 [에버랜드(everland)]를 통해 돌아온 홍이삭은 보다 더 새로운 모습으로 대중들에게 찾아왔다. 이번 앨범은 홍이삭과 피아니스트 진수영의 협업으로 만들어져 특별함이 더해졌기 때문. 진수영은 작곡가이자 재즈 피아니스트로 활발히 활동 중인 뮤지션으로, 이번 콜라보레이션을 통해 홍이삭이 쓴 가삿말에 감미로운 피아노 선율을 얹어주며 특별함을 더해주었다.

이번 [I'm Live]를 통해서는 홍이삭의 기타&보컬과 진수영의 생생한 피아노 연주를 통해 [에버랜드(everland)]의 선공개 곡이었던 '(n)everland'와 수록곡인 'a bird', 'pages'를 포함하여, 홍이삭 앨범에 수록되어 있던 '비', '있을게'까지 새로운 느낌으로 선보일 예정.

두 사람이 만나 더 특별해진 홍이삭X진수영의 무대는 오는 6월 15일 오후 1시 아리랑TV에서 감상할 수 있다.

Joining us on this week’s episode of I’m LIVE is Isaac Hong X Sooyoung Chin!

Isaac Hong made himself known to the public with his Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest-winning self-written song “Spring” in 2013. Since then, he has steadily built up his own musical world, marked by his trademark, mellow vocals and delicate sentiments. This time, he collaborated with renowned jazz pianist Sooyoung Chin to drop their project album, “Everland.” It is a mostly English-language album made through months of full collaboration, and the two describe it as “a record of their conversations over piano.” Using the common language of music, the two expanded their reach into each other’s respective universes.

In this episode, Isaac Hong X Sooyoung Chin performs their songs “(n)everland,” “a bird,” “pages,” and also Hong’s own pieces “Rain” and “Stay.”
