Here is a link to all the supplies I used in this flip:

Here they are! Every flip I seem to try something new that challenges me to learn and grow, and that’s exactly what this project was!

I decided I wanted to restore and revive this instead of paint, so I started off my using a paint stripper to remove all the old stain and chipping sealer.

Then I had to sand the whole thing, you might ask, why did I strip if I still had to sand? I ask myself that too 😂 jk … this makes sanding so much quicker and easier! And sanding evens out the tones after the stripper.

Next I used a beige color paint for a tan wash, so mute the yellow tones, I used 70% water, 30% paint… it was looking real good, but now I wanted to add back in some warmth! I let it dry for 24 hours…

Then I used oil based stain, I mixed 20% Antique white wash, 80% early American, at first I was liking it, but then it was giving pink tones and reminding me of my grandpas white oak furniture… and that’s not what I was going for… so I added a layer of Provincial, and this was it, the magical combination!

After another 24 hours I sealed everything with a finishing wax, this was my first time trying it and I absolutely LOVED IT! I will forever seal furniture with finishing wax over polycrylic… nothing wrong with poly, works just as good, the wax was just so much easier for the same effect!

Then I added some new liners and hardware and this beautiful set was done!

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did, follow for more DIY and Furniture Flips!
