Following on from posting this I have since had some further Information given to me that I’d like to share here.

Quote “my Dad used to drive the German POW’s from the camp to work on Jaggers farm at three lane ends, one he used to talk about was called Hugo, who was captured in the desert, he was in the tank panzer division, they was first taken to Canada before England he reckoned they had never seen as much food in Canada. Also said they was very good workers & could put their hand to anything. Most had been away from home for years.”
