The youngest silverback, Upala, is reluctant to get involved in the rivalry but remains a silent observer of the group’s dynamics.

• Gorillas typically live 35 years in the wild, but in captivity, with better care and no predators, they can live up to 50-60 years.

Recycling reduces the demand for coltan and helps protect these amazing animals. Gorilla populations have declined by approximately 25% over the past 20 to 25 years due to habitat loss, poaching, and disease.
