Hope is being restored for the future of our oceans in the form of innovative new ways to remove plastic pollution from the sea. The Ocean Clean Up has finally begun cleaning the great pacific garbage patch!

The Ocean cleanup, a non profit on a mission to rid the worlds oceans and waterways of plastic pollution has reached a critically significant stage after 10 years of development in their ocean cleaning technology, deploying their new, absolutely massive, 2.2 km wide extraction net called System 3! Its nearly three times larger than anything they have tried before. So far System 3 has successfully completed over 75 extractions during 2023, in total it have removed over 45 tons of plastic pollution from the great pacific garbage patch in the pacific ocean.
