OUR FIRST ROOM on our modern barndominium style house!

With tornados brewing up all around us this summer, our FIRST order of business is to CLOSE IN our SAFE ROOM. No joke, RIGHT after we closed it in, yet another siren went off just one town over!

We might YET be sleeping in there before the house is done . . .

Erik has surgery #2 for his kidney stone, but he's still tender and working feverishly despite his condition.

While we are away, the foundation gets back-filled and by the time they are done, it's looking fantastic! If only it STAYED that way . . .

We are hoping to get the basement WALL up next week, BUT we had several set-backs . . . stay-tuned for next week's video!

Building half of it on our own allows us a MASSIVE savings with our budget and makes this unique home design actually affordable!
