With Navratri and Durga Puja just around the corner, this gravy is a wonderful choice for creating delicious, festive meals during these sacred days. Since childhood, these festivals have been my favourite, and I’m happy to bring you a #NavratriSpecial recipe that will make your celebrations even more special.

I’ve carefully mentioned all the ingredients and their quantities required to make this smooth and creamy base. From this gravy, you can create popular dishes like Malai Kofta, everyone’s favourite Malai Soya Chaap, and Vegetable Korma. To show you how versatile this gravy is, I’ve also demonstrated a step-by-step recipe for "Methi Malai Aloo Matar" that you can prepare using this base.

Ingredients:

1. 1 cup kaju
2. 1/2 cup magaz
3. 1 cup Dahi
4. 1 to 2 tej patta
5. 3 to 4 laung
6. 1 tspn sabut kali mirch
7. 4 to 5 choti elaichi
8. 1.5 tspn sabut dhaniya
9. 1 tspn sabut Jeera
10. Dhaniya stems
11. Red chilli powder 1/2 tspn ( optional)
12. Haldi 1/2 tspn ( optional)
13. Salt
14. Oil
15. Adrak and green chillies slits


Ingredients for kasuri Aloo Matar Malai :

1. 2 to 3 poatoes
2. 1 cup peas
3. 200 to 250 gms gravy
4. Dhaniya jeera powder..... 1 tspn
5. Kasuri methi.... 1 to 1.5 tbspn
6. Salt
7. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1/2 tspn
8. Haldi..... 1/2 tspn
9. Garam masala..... 1/4 tspn
10. Butter
11. Cream
12. 1 tspn jeera.... 1 tspn
13. Oil
14. Chopped Adrak 1 tspn
