To get kids interested in science, Sesame Street put together a storyline for almost its entire season back in 1998 where Oscar the Grouch's pet worm Slimey made a trip to the moon. Over the course of the season, we got to see what Slimey had to do so that he and his fellow astronauts could make it to the moon, what everyone else on Sesame Street was doing during Slimey's trip, how the trip for the astronauts was going, and how Oscar was feeling while his best friend was away from him for so long.

This storyline dealt with the topic of science and emotions, which I felt was very interesting so I decided to look back on this incredible story alongside of two surprise previous Nostalgia Talk guests!
