I am bringing you a depth shading tutorial today. I show you how to use depth shading on my Garmin fish finder to find new fishing spots. If you are like me and don't get very much time on the water, it is very important to get the most out of every minute. I have started using depth shading on every trip so I'm not wasting time on unproductive spots. Using weather, time of year, and water temp you can get a pattern started as soon as you start fishing. This will work for almost any species and for any type of structure or cover. I started using this method on my Helix 5 Humminbird locator, and now I use it on my 93 SV Garmin unit.
