Today I dive into Why You Should Use Braid Backing On Your Spinning Fishing Gear. I also show you how I spool my reels. (spoiler alert) I don't use a line spooler. Yes, using Floro without a line spooler can cause line twists. I recommend using line conditioner for this purpose. I actually use braid backing on most of my rods. I used straight braid or Floro on most of my gear until about a year ago. I now am not sure that I will ever go back. I get better casting distance as well as line control. I have never been great at casting accuracy but this helped me tremendously. The versatility of using backing brings definitely out ways the cons it presents. What do you think?
