Airline ground test: 12 September 2019
First Integrated Ground Test for PALL TOTAL AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM and Sensor System
The new system is designed to filter the entire air supply, not just the recirculated cabin air as it is done today.
The new system will also measure the quality of the air on board, a measurement that is not made today.
The team will test with actual contaminants - lube oil (engine oil) and de-icing fluid - to ensure full system functionality. (Hydraulic fluid is not used during the measurements. It is the most toxic and too dangerous for the employees working on the test.)

Final end of the story (2021):
Pall had an agreement with Airbus to work together on a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for system certification.
Airbus concluded that the system cannot fulfil requirements and that it is not suitable neither for retrofit nor for linefit.
Airbus aircraft continue to fly with bleed air and without proper air filtering. Airbus aircraft will continue to see cabin air contamination events (CACEs).
