Two day 'Winter' tour in Trinity Alps in February 2022, that felt like late Spring.
Granite Peak Trailhead to Granite Peak and beyond - to Middle Peak in the first day. Second day out to Deer Creek Peak, the return on the same way.
Conditions: Southern slopes quite dry, decent snow on the other sides, but very hard and icy, even mid-day. Crampons and ice-axe were required. More precipitations are definitely needed.
All in all, it was a very nice outing, with only one complain about the super heavy backpack, but again, I used everything except the snowshoes.
