Campus to corporate 5
Why we should not keep hands in pocket or folded hand during the interview ?
Closed-off body language:Hands in pockets or folded across the chest can be interpreted as a sign of disinterest, defensiveness, or even boredom. This can send the wrong message to your interviewer and make it harder to establish rapport.
Lack of Engagement: Keeping your hands hidden prevents you from using natural hand gestures to emphasize your points, show enthusiasm, or demonstrate active listening. This can make you appear less engaged and interested in the conversation.
Nervousness: Fidgeting with your hands in your pockets or constantly folding and unfolding them can be perceived as a sign of nervousness or anxiety. This can undermine your confidence and make it harder to make a positive impression
Professionalism: Keeping your hands visible shows respect for the interviewer and the interview setting. It conveys a sense of professionalism and composure, which are important qualities for any candidate.
