Jasmin Graham, Amani Webber-Schultz, Carlee Jackson, and Jaida Elcock are the founders of Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS), an organization designed to encourage minorities to enter the field of marine science, build support communities, and provide educational outreach to young scientists.

These four young and intelligent women of color with grit and scientific chops are on a mission to gather information about sharks and help preserve the species for future generations. They strive to make it easier for women of color and other minorities to enter the field. They also wish to broaden awareness of the importance of the ocean ecosystem into more diverse communities.
