The contact between Ancient Rome and America is a theme that cyclically reappears like bad weed, Egyptians light bulbs, Mayan spaceships and all that series of unlikely topics that capture the interest of the many who like fictional history, because they don't find true history exciting enough.

Although it is therefore something substantially more inherent to "alternative" theories rather than to a serious debate, on the other hand perhaps it is appropriate not to leave the field free only to imaginative and sensationalistic voices, and to offer the possibility of examine the question on realistic historical and archaeological data.

So let's get ready for a journey through Roman pineapples and Roman maize corn (SIC!) and much more, because unfortunately even pseudo-history, at times, risks having such a resonance that it cannot be abandoned at the mercy of those who, for incompetence or vice , spread it.
