Today I am sharing crispy
and spicy masala shev recipe
on the occasion of diwali.
You can also use this shev
to prepare shev subji
so try this..

Ingredients:

. 3 cup chick pea flour
(250 gms)

. 2 & 1/2 tbsp oil

. 1 tsp salt
(As per taste)

. 1 tsp red chilly powder
(As per taste)

. 1/2 tsp carom seeds

. 1/2 tsp cumin powder

. 1/4 tsp asafoetida
(Hing)

. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

. Mix powder of 3-4 cloves and
3- 4 black paper

. Oil to deep fry

Method:

. Take 2 & 1/2 tbsp oil in a big flat bowl.

. Add salt ,red chilly powder,carom seeds
cumin powder,asafoetida,
cloves and blackpaper powder,turmeric.

. Add 2 tbsp water in it and beat it vigorously
with beater or spoon for few minutes
It helps to make shev lighter and
more crispy.

. Then add chick pea flour in above
mixture and mix it well.

. Add sufficient amount of water and
prepare a medium soft dough.

.Cover this dough with lid and
allow to rest it for 10-15 minutes.

. After 10 minutes ,take a shev maker
and grease little oil inside it.

. Wet palm with water and take some
portion of dough in palm.

. Fill it properly in the shev maker.

. Close the shev maker.

. Heat oil in a pan
on medium flame.

. Prepare a shev directly in hot
oil,from some hight
as hot vapours directly comes
on hand, so be careful.

. Deep fry shev on medium flame
till become crispy.

.Meanwhlie turn sides and
fry from both sides.

. When shev becomes crispy
allow to drain oil and transfer
it on kitchen paper.

. Deep fry all batches in same
way.

. Crispy masala shev is ready.

. Allow to cool at room temperature
and then store it in dry airtight container.

Tip :
. If you are preparing thin shev
then use carom powder insted
of whole carom seeds.
